Donnie Vie DVieD-EP

Livewire

A treat for those that still can’t get Enuff.

Vocalist Donnie Vie is apparently still a member of Enuff Z’Nuff, although he no longer tours with the veteran Chicago pop-rockers. The cleverly titled DvieD ties up solo songs and Z’Nuff stuff in a fascinating career overview. Separated into audio and visual halves, the two-disc set certainly represents value for money. As well as three new compositions, Vie warbles through John Denver’s Country Roads and Gordon Lightfoot’s If You Could Read My Mind , and a faithful Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds is further evidence of a long-standing Beatles fetish. Disc Two contains confessional interviews, promos, TV appearances, archive live footage and Vie’s cover of the Fab Four’s Don’t Let Me Down performed with exCrüe singer John Corabi.
