CHEAP TRICK From Tokyo To You – Live In Japan
From page 76 of Classic Rock Magazine November 2006

Veteran pop-rockers miss a trick.
Returning to the country – if not the venue – of their triumphal Live At Budokan album to record another live album was always going to invite unfavourable comparisons, but with From Tokyo To You , Cheap Trick have really dropped a clanger.
Musically, the live snippets (and that’s what they are) are beyond reproach, with songs such as Surrender and the more contemporary Scent Of A Woman sizzling in the concert setting. There’s also a fairly engaging documentary with the band dissecting their history in a series of interviews.
The problem is that some halfwit has decided to mix the concepts, so the music is clumsily chopped to allow for interview anecdotes. As a consequence, this is a DVD you will watch precisely once.
