THIN LIZZY Outlawed

Valid, emotive tribute to one of Irelands greatest exports. It’s difficult not to feel sad when thinking of Phil Lynott. An immense talent whose life was cut short by drug addiction, no one can imagine what he might have produced had he still been around today.
While the live CD in this package leaves a lot to be desired, the DVD is probably one of the most moving and accurate documentaries about Lynott. There are some ribald reminisces from his mother and tributes from ex-Lizzy members including Brian Robertson and Eric Bell, although Scott Gorham, Gary Moore and Brian Downey are notable by their absence.
“When you think you’ll never hear any new Phil Lynott songs, it’s really depressing,” says former producer Nick Tauber. Which just about sums up every Lizzy fan’s feelings on the subject.
