SNOWY WHITE & THE WHITE FLAMES Little Wing
From page 71 of Classic Rock Magazine November 2006

There’s life in the ex-Thin Lizzy man yet.
Seen touring alongside Roger Waters again this summer, Snowy White is still perhaps recalled as a rabbit caught in the headlights of Thin Lizzy’s thunderous Cadillac. That controversial Lizzy tenure aside, however, White has also worked with Peter Green, Al Stewart, the Floyd’s Richard Wright and ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor.
Named after and featuring a somewhat docile re-working of the Hendrix standard, Little Wing was first issued in 1998. A decade and a half after his top 10 hit with Bird Of Paradise (not included here), it sees White ploughing a determined furrow as a gifted, serious bluesman. The lengthy, Dire Straits-esque Long Distance Loving is an early highlight, though there’s a surprising amount of up-tempo rocking on display.
