'Big Big Trip On A Pantomime Hoarse' (miR miRca21 *****

Chris Jagdhar (CJ to his chums) hasn't had the luckiest of run-ins with the music industry. His third-time-lucky ouffit The Jellys (let's put the Wildhearts and Honeycrack down to experience) have had to make do with self-financed releases, although hopefully this live album, recorded earlier this year in Tokyo, will bring them some of the success CJ's melodic pop-rock deserves. Despite occasionally verging on the twee; think Cheap Trick's 'Live At Budokan' on a shoestring budget and a rider made up of lemonade and ice cream and you're almost there.
