SORUM NOCE CLOTHING www.sorumoce.com £TBC Matt Sorum, former Guns N’ Roses and current Velvet Revolver drummer, has set up a clothing line with his business partner Max Noce (pictured below, right, with Matt). Sorum is adding another string to his bow in a range of clothing that, according to the stick twirler, feels like “it’s edgy, it’s got some street sense, it’s rock’n’roll”. In the real world that means a lot of denim, highquality shirts and some well-cut suits. And it all looks bloody good, and will suit any rock cool dresser. But with prices yet to be released, be prepared to dig deep!
“I’ve always been a bit of a clothing guy,” Matt tells Classic Rock . “I grew up with bands that always looked cool, like Zeppelin and the Stones, Keith Moon and Bowie. I remember being 16 years old, standing outside The Rainbow Bar And Grill on Sunset Strip, seeing Roger Taylor from Queen arriving in a RollsRoyce, dressed in a Savile Row threepiece suit, with two girls on his arm... I knew at that moment my life would be rock’n’roll.
“After Guns N’ Roses slimmed down I really took a big interest in trying to look my best, leading me to meet my partner Max Noce in the mid-90s when he was working at a clothing store called Lords in LA. He came to me a couple of years ago with the idea of starting a [clothing] line. We decided to make it very rock’n’roll yet classy.
“We spent the last year making the samples – which isn’t an easy process – and now with the website up and running we’re presently looking for an investor to back us.
“So check out our website and stay tuned for the clothing to be coming your way soon.”
