On-the-road DVD previews album number three.
THE ANSWER ARE set to release their third, as-yet untitled album in late August. The follow-up to 2009’s Everyday Demons was recorded in El Paso, Texas with Grammynominated producer Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith. With the band having parted company with Albert Productions, it will be released via the quartet’s new label, Spinefarm Records.
As a prelude to the album release, they release a new, fan-friendly DVD package on May 23. Called 412 Days Of Rock ‘N’ Roll , it includes a 70-minute documentary that covers the band’s time on the road with AC/DC, plus a headline date at the Ulster Hall in Belfast. Another 55-minute DVD disc has concert footage filmed during the AC/DC tour, and four songs from the Belfast gig. There will also be an audio disc version. Additionally, the package includes all nine of the band’s promotional videos, including a re-recording of Rose Tattoo’s Rock And Roll Outlaw which the band released as a single as part of Record Store Day.
Having appeared at High Voltage in 2010, The Answer are set to participate in the summer festival season. To begin the buildup to the new album, they also play a headline date at the 100-capacity Diamond Rock Club in Ballymena on April 28. DL
