Another brick in the Walsall.

Filmed in 1991 Welcome To... captures these ragged indie troopers on a high, touring the world, hanging with Vic and Bob and headlining their own stadium gig. The fact that it’s Walsall’s Bescott Stadium, and not Wembley, says much about The Wonder Stuff’s approach to this showbiz malarkey, and this rockumentary is a suitably affectionate collage of interviews, live appearances, and backstage footage of roadies playing football, violinists soundchecking and other road stuff. Throw in some promo videos and you have a band who are having the last laugh in more ways than one – The Wonder Stuff have just done the music for a new CBBC kids show about the London Underground.
