'Comeback — Songs From The Motion Picture'

After Eric Burdon had left War and his own solo career began to dip in the mid-70s, the ex-Animals singer turned to the movies with an appearance in the ill-fated movie Comeback, directed by German Christel Buschmann.
The soundtrack drew on two Burdon solo albums, 'The Last Drive' and 'Darkness, Darkness' as well as featuring new material. Although this material's been bastardised on all manner of releases over the years, here we get a spectacular re-issued dose of earthy hard rock and soulful blues from Burdon, sounding damn near his best.
It's a shame the same can't be said of his film career.
