New Pumpkins studio album and British dates
GI he Smashing Pumpkins will release their latest album, 'MACHINE/Machine Of God' through Hut on February 28. And sources close to the band say that the album has a harder edge than 1998's comparatively weak 'Adore'. Classic Rock can reveal that the full track listing for the record is as follows: 'Everlasting Gate', 'Sunshowers', 'Stand Inside Your Love' (which is expected to be the first single), 'I Of The Mourning', 'The Sacred & The Profane', 'Try', 'Heavy Metal Machine', 'This Time', 'Glass & The Ghost Children', 'Wound', 'Crying Tree', 'Blue Skies Bring Tears' and 'With Every Light'. The band will unveil both the new songs and their new rhythm section: former Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur (who replaces D'Arcy Wretzky) and returning drummer Jimmy Chamberlin (fired in 1996 following his arrest on drugs charges). The band also return to Britain for two shows this month: Manchester Apollo January 21 and London Dominion Theatre 22.
