'The Road To Hell Pt. 2' (EastWest 85738039921 ***** The gravel-throated soft rocker revisits its theme of alienation in the modern world, but mixes drum and bass and hip hop influences with more traditional soul and jazz touches to rejuvenate his sound. Even Eminem gets a namecheck on 'Evil No. 1', while 'E' is a surprisingly sympathetic take on the subject of Ecstasy. Hopefully, both long-time fans and those who've previously dismissed Rea will listen without prejudice. Valerie Potter
