Crüe ‘pals’ reünite

Nikki and Vince get together to play some Mötley classics.
NIKKI SIXX RECENTLY PUT ASIDE BAD BLOOD WITH singer Vince Neil to jam with his ex-Mötley Crüe colleague plus Poison guitarist CC DeVille and LA Guns guitarist Tracii Guns, during a solo show at the Key Club in Hollywood.
Last issue we reported that Neil was having “too much fun” on his own tours to think of a Mötley reunion, but he welcomed bassist Sixx on stage for versions of ‘Shout At The Devil’, ‘Piece Of Your Action’, ‘Girls Girls Girls’ and ‘Looks That Kill’.
Although Sixx later commented: “I forgot how good it feels to play those songs”, fans who saw the show said the reportedly stumbling-drunk singer’s performance was “a total mess”, with one even claiming Neil began the show by announcing: “Are you guys ready? Because I’m not”.
Despite Neil’s apparent reservations, Crüe relationships are slowly being rebuilt. Indeed, guitarist Mick Mars is currently staying with Sixx and wife Donna D’Errico while builders renovate his house. “[There’s been] lots of guitar riffs and talk of doing it one more time,” Sixx said.
Meanwhile, Bruce Kulick had a lucky escape when two bullets struck him outside the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the way home from Neil’s Key Club show.
The former Kiss, Union and current Grand Funk Railroad guitarist escaped comparatively unharmed, but was left shaken after being hit in the leg and having his head grazed by shots from a drive-by assailant. A 21-year-old man was later arrested.
One Mötley-related reconciliation that does seem likely is between ex-drummer Tommy Lee and former wife Pamela Anderson. The couple attended the Hollywood premiere of Scary Movie 3 together, and Lee was also photographed rubbing Anderson’s back at a football game that included their sons Dylan and Brandon. Friends of the couple say romance is in the air once again.
