Metanoia
Snapper
Quiller’s memorandum.
That this is a collection of instrumental studio jams from 1995 and ’96 should terrify any
right-minded person, yet Metanoia is at times almost trance-like in its beauty.
Taken from sessions for the Signify album and first issued in 1998, the songs here sound suspiciously tight and wellarranged for genuine ‘jams’, but that’s to their benefit. Their value comes in two parts: firstly as an enjoyable ambient hour or so when the mood strikes, and secondly for Tree collectors and prog rock obsessives, as an insight into the Tree’s creative process.
