BOB DYLAN Reissues Sony/BMG Classic early albums, remastered.
From page 90 of Classic Rock Magazine August 2005
It wasn’t until way after its release that Dylan’s first album attracted any great interest. A naïve young gun with an acoustic guitar, a harmonica and a devotion to Woody Guthrie, he was simply one of the gang in the 60s folk revival.
Still, his own compositions - the witty Talkin’ New York and a heartfelt Song To Woody – pointed to wider possibilities.
These he realised by writing every song on his third album, The Times They Are A Changin’, which reflected the growing tensions in America, gave a political voice to the young, and challenged the old order, the war machine and an immoral and racist establishment.
