WOLFPAC Evil Is...
From page 89 of Classic Rock Magazine August 2005
Megaforce Humdrum hip-hop/metal.
From the cover
photo of porn star Jenna Jameson to the claim that recording costs were subsidised by robbing graves and selling the bones to occult stores, initially there seemed much to recommend Evil Is...
But this is a dismally dated mix of old-school hip-hop beats and drab metal samples.
It was originally released in 2000 and features one Daddy Long Legs, a founding member of the Philadelphia area’s The Bloodhound Gang. The rapping is insipid, the words read like kindergarten gangsta poems, and the guitars don’t so much crunch as crumple.
The lyric ‘Chuck D was a hero to me/My friends liked Huey Lewis, I liked Public Enemy’ tells you all you need to know about this lot. Elsewhere you get sick- bag statements such as ‘I got your girl so wet that she needs a sponge’ and ‘I touch my private parts in public more than Pee Wee Herman’. Très amusant.
